Major Shirish Patil
Major Shirish Patil; an Alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla & Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; has taken part in active operations during Kargil, led 120 soldiers at Siachen (highest & coldest battlefield) at young age of 24, successfully led counter terrorist operations in Jammu & Kashmir for over two years.
Major Shirish has topped Specialized Weapons course at Infantry School, MHOW, recommended as faculty in multiple Army courses and was one of the youngest instructors at Army Training Center. He has held office at Directorate General of Military Operations Branch; the most coveted profiles in the Army.
Major Shirish has completed his MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Post Army, he has worked with companies like Adani Group, Amazon.com in management positions; leading large global operational teams. At Adani, he was leading operations at the largest private port in India ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations 24x7. At amazon, he was leading TransOps for USA and Canada (50+ warehouses, 500+ hubs & thousands of vendor locations), heading control center, managing exceptions, interruptions, and crisis scenarios ensuring minimal impact to customer promise and continuity of operations by risk mitigation & contingency strategies. He was active in spearheading training initiatives, orientation modules, cross team trainings, rotational training programs etc. for Management & Engineering graduates.
Shirish is Founder of Turv Consulting, a skill Development/Capacity building organization. He has conducted lectures and Workshops in India & UAE on Leadership, Soft skills for Corporate Organizations and youth. He has worked with institutions like UNICEF, MICA as project consultant.
He teaches at various B-Schools as visiting faculty, advice start-ups at various stages of growth, and is a mentor for ISB TEP (Technology Entrepreneurship Program) since 2016. He is an Advisory member on BoS (Board of Studies) for LJ University, and IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) for CPIMR, amongst some other advisory roles.
